I’m a multidisciplinary designer and artist who is 1⁄2 of Boomslang. I’ve been interested in generative systems for a couple of years now and have been experimenting with analog as wel as digital systems. For about a year Jochem Walboomers and me have been working under the moniker Boomslang, making installations and video’s both commercially and autonomously. My work can be described as formalist and immersive and mostly is aimed at (over)stimulating the human systems of perception.
X INSIDE A RECTANGULAR BOX
With this project we tried to fiercely attack the human systems of perception with an abstract audiovisual composition in which they use the interplay of motion, rhythm, light and sound to create a compelling and hypnotizing experience. The piece was made using their own partially analog, partially digital system utilizing a feedback chain in which noise is created, modulated, tamed and amplified.The work has been exhibited during TEC ART 2019 and Hackers Handshake at WORM Ubik.

It was on display at s/ash ga\ery in Rotterdam from December 19th till December 21st 2017 during the ‘Digital Craft: How To Be Human’ group exhibition and during TEC ART 2018.
